How can I bend a metal pole that is used for a basketball backboard?

There is an abandoned school yard where we place basketball during lunch. One hoop is fine, but the other is mounted on a metal pole that has been bent back so far as to make that hoop unusable. We need a way to bend that pole back to make the backboard and hoop upright. How can I bend a metal pole that is used for a basketball backboard?
if you know a electrician they might have a hicky bar to bend conduit. Put a cheater pipe over end of pipe on hicky and use it for leverage and bend it a little at a time. Or see if you can get a torch and heat the pipe up and bend it. When bending pipe they will fill pipe with sand to keep it from buckling. You will not have to do that on this pipe. Heres another idea if that does not work. Cut the pipe below backboard about 8" get another piece of pipe clamp it on the the straight part of pipe and let stick up high enough to attach backboard back on.How can I bend a metal pole that is used for a basketball backboard?
If you can get a truck and a chain that would straighten it up quick. If post is too thin, it will break off though. Metal doesn't like being bent back and forth.
