How can i get my basketball tournement sponsored ?

June 17th will be held the first annual basketball tournement associated with Sun Youth at Montreal.Funds goes to Sun Youth. So far, coca cola will participate but no money.We need the money to cover the charges. The place is capable to sit about 4000 person ! Dj,artist and dancers are invited also. But we need a sponsor and it is hard to find one. How can i get one ? We asked , sent business plans but no answer.How can i get my basketball tournement sponsored ?

1. Develop a query letter.

2. Pick at least 100 companies that you believe will benefit from exposure at this event.

3. Contact each of these companies to determine if they are candidates for sponsorship without asking for sponsorship. You need to find out if their charitable expenditures are tagged or if they are open to requests.

4. Offer exclusivity on a first come first served basis.

5. Redefine your scope and expand your search net to 100 second tier companies.





Unfortunately, this is a time consuming process and you have very little time left.
