It's a passion for the game that every baller enjoys. Some start earlier than others but B-Ball is a very flexible game where you can play indoors at a gym or outdoors at parks or schools. You can organize BBQ and outdoor events or parties centered around basketball (which I'll be attending today). There is no age limit to when you can start playing or when you should stop playing, which is also the beauty of it. I don't think I can ever give up hoops, at least until I can't run no more. If you keep yourself fairly in shape, you should be able to play the sport for a good segment of your life.
Your skills and experience won't go away, even though they may get a bit rusty if you take a break from the game for awhile. B-Ball is a sport you can enjoy with friends and close ones. It's not as slow pace as baseball and it's not as injury prone as football. You may experience a sprain ankle or leg cramps here and there but it's not something that can't be prevented or will hinder you long term if you take the right precaution to protect yourself. Just my 2 cents.

They just love basketball man. They prolly like fresh air and basketball togethr.
As long as it's not windy and raining it's great to play outdoors because it's just.....COOL!
