Is the Canadian system of basketball different to the United States?

Hi im chris lewis and im from Ontario Canada. I have been hearing that the Canadian system of basketball is totally different to the United States. Is that true? If so can you please explain to me why or how its different from each other? Is the Canadian system of basketball different to the United States?
Canada has adopted FIBA rules that are international rules. They are basically the rules they use in the Olympics and World Championships. Different key, 4 10 minute quarters, time outs must go through scorers table. You can bat the ball off of the rim on D, really stupid rules.

Canada is using these rules for high school College, University and of course national team.

They are a poor rule choice because 24 second shot clock for kids as young as 14 is not smart.

We should be using NCAA rules for high school, College and University as they are the best rules for amateur basketball. Is the Canadian system of basketball different to the United States?
