Long-distance "jogging" and basketball endurance are NOT the same type of endurance, so jogging could help, but not nearly as much as simulating game-like situations. This means short bursts of quick energy and changes of direction.

SUICIDES are an absolute must for basketball endurance.

Defensive conditioning drills are also important, like defensive slide drills and figure-8s (a mix of sprints, defensive slides, back peddling, etc.)

Full descriptions of these, and many other basketball conditioning tips are on my basketball conditioning page at http://www.basketball-tips-and-training.鈥?/a>

Finally, what you eat and drink (and when) can also help you out. Make sure to take in a decent amount of carbs, protein, %26amp; good fat (yes fat) 3-4 hours before your game. More important, though, is taking in a small amount of carbs 30-45 minutes before your game (something with about 100 calories or so), as this will help a great deal with your energy throughout the game. Also make sure to keep hydrated, as dehydration will add to your fatigue.

There's also a whole section dedicated to athlete nutrition that can help at http://www.basketball-tips-and-training.鈥?/a>
The best way is to play in open gyms with some other skilled players for long periods of time (like 1 to 3 hrs). You'll be very tired the first couple of times you do this, but your body will adjust nicely and you'll find it much easier to run up and down the court in real games. One reason open gyms will shape you up is because there are no game stoppages (fouls or timeouts) so you just go non-stop.How do i get better endurance in basketball?
SUICIDES!!!

do 20 suicides in a row, thts what we hav to do for b-ball conditioning.

we do 20 suicides in 20 minutes, so you have to do each one 50 seconds, then get 10 sec of rest, or if you're slow, you might take a whole minute.

But, it depends n the size of the court.

p.s. trust me, after about 10 you'll feel like droppnig on the ground, but keep going, cuz it increases your endurance really fast, and a lot.
Possibly if you took up jogging/running. You could start off jogging around the school track when school isn't in session. This will get your body used to all the running back and forth that you have to do playing basketball. How do i get better endurance in basketball?
Run everday and as you progress start running longer distances.
Cardio
Run a few miles a day four to five times a week.
run around the court everyday, you will be ok
well do you run sprints at all?that would help... and practice harder than you play in games
