This is my first year on my college basketball team, and I'm not sure what the best way for me to be the best prepared would be. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, and tried. What is the best way for me to get ready for Basketball season?
My best bet is work on defense. lots of times people like offense better %26amp; there defence sucks and they get schooled. Be good on offense %26amp; great on defence
Trill Answer....................
Get your stamina up so you can play good for 4 quarters and not just 2! Good LuckWhat is the best way for me to get ready for Basketball season?
Basically practice everything you learnt in high school basketball. But you can improve your shots by shooting mid-range shots and 3 pointers daily, about 100 shots will do. Well, only if you're a guard. You should also weight lift alot more, get yourself ripped up, so you don't get pushed around in the paint. And most importantly, jog for an hour daily. It helps increase your stamina, you will get tired roaming down the court in college basketball.
besides the usual running, stretching, wieght lifting...
Shooting drills, ball handling drills, and train the fast twitch muscles in your legs. Try running up and down a flight of stairs. Jumping on a stack of steps (used in step aerobics), running sprints, hopping sprints, calf raises and leg presses, jumping out of a squat, also practice quick jumps under the backboardWhat is the best way for me to get ready for Basketball season?
practice always makes perfect for everyone...practice doing ball handling drills and shooting and make sure your defence is great because your offence may suck but,......if you play awesome defence they wont score :)) LoL
Practice the drills you did during high school practice, and lift weights. Also, play lots of pick up games. More for cardio than anything.
Get to the gym and do hard cardio. I'm in my first year for my college team and all we do is cardio. If you play guard get in the gym and shoot 100 free throws and 100 3 pointers a day also if you have time.
just do basic training like running stretching out lifting a few lbs on wieghts push ups and sit ups u should be ready for bball season by then bro
